Mine clay with a pickaxe in Revelwood near Diadwyn. When you're working out where to find clay in Enshrouded for the Carpenter's Kiln, look for orange, lumpy deposits on the mountainside between Diadwyn and the Revelwood Ancient Spire. Bring a pickaxe; any pickaxe can harvest clay.
Where to Get Clay in Enshrouded: Diadwyn and Revelwood
Look on the mountainside near Diadwyn, west of the Revelwood Ancient Spire. Open your world map and use Diadwyn and the nearby spire as your landmarks, then head for the hillside between them.

Clay sticks out of cliff faces and the ground as orange-brown lumps against grey stone. Walk up to that deposit and mine it with your pickaxe.

The cliffs north of the Carpentry Camp in Diadwyn are another place to look. You can also search the hills farther south if you need more clay than the nearby pocket provides.
How to Farm Clay Quickly: Start at the Revelwood Spire
For a convenient clay run, start at the Revelwood Ancient Spire and head to the nearby Diadwyn hillside pocket. One player recommends this spot because you can travel over, grab what you need, and get going.

- Travel to the Revelwood Ancient Spire if you have it unlocked.
- Head toward Diadwyn and find the orange-brown deposit on the mountainside between the landmarks.
- Mine enough for the Kiln requirement shown in your crafting menu, then return to your base.
Start with this close pocket before searching the southern hills. That keeps a Kiln supply trip focused on the material you need instead of turning it into a wider resource hunt.
What Clay Is Used For: The Carpenter's Kiln
Clay is needed to craft the Carpenter's Kiln, which lets you make Fired Bricks. Once you've gathered it, return to your base, speak to the Carpenter, and select Kiln in the crafting menu.
Check the full material list there before leaving for another gathering trip. If Metal Scraps are the ingredient you're missing, see where to get metal scraps in Enshrouded.
Clay After Terrain Changes: Check Hillsides and Recipes
Revelwood's terrain and early crafting recipes have been reworked, so check the surrounding hillside and your crafting menu when following a familiar clay route. Recipes that require stone now use the stone variation from the corresponding biome.
Read the Kiln's material names in the Carpenter's menu before gathering stone. Resource details also include acquisition hints you can consult while planning your next trip.
Take your clay back to the Carpenter and craft the Kiln so you can start making Fired Bricks.
